That’s excellent news. Have they recruited at UA previously?

sounds like good news to me!

I found this on a Microsoft recruiter’s LinkedIn

Microsoft is a global company, located in over 100 countries, with revenues of over $70 billion. Many people think Microsoft = software. Yes, we do software—but we do so much more. Think Windows, Windows Server, Azure and Visual Studio. Online services such as Bing and MSN. Business solutions like Office and Exchange. And devices like Surface, Xbox, Kinect, Windows Mobile, and more. We’re passionate about what we do. This means opportunities for Microsoft employees — to do things that impact the lives of millions, if not billions.

Specifically focusing on Internship and FTE openings for the following positions:

Software Development Engineers (SDE)
Software Development Engineers in Test (SDET)
Program Mangers (PM)

^ If they specify “within 12 months of graduating”, why do they say “focusing on internships”?

Where was this email? Did it come to a student’s myBama account?

The recruiter may have put this info up before summer when they were looking for summer interns? Not sure.

However, recruiting is for both internships and FTE (full time employment).

Montegut, my EE student shared the email with me. Yes, it was sent to his MyBama account.

It was not sent to my son’s MyBama account, but he is a mechanical engineering major. He does have friends that are CS and EE majors, so maybe they received it.
Wonder if the jobs are at Microsoft’s Washington campus. We visited there on a family trip, and it was amazing!
Thanks for sharing the job posting!

My son was told by his CS prof that this event was only for CO-OP. (Not sure if that is accurate - just passing on what he told me.) He will still do the resume clinic…he has classes during the office hour time slot.

I would definitely like my son to attend the resume clinic. Senior year and looking for a full-time job, it can’t hurt!

My D has an interview with them on Tuesday. Roll Tide!

^^^Good luck!

Congrats to you D! Is it for a full-time job or an internship?

Congratulations to your D, Dad2ILD! Hope it works out for her.

She did not give much info, but we’re assuming that it is not full time, since she’s only in her 3rd year of her masters in 4 path. She did seem excited though.
