<p>I suggest to buy your own microwave and fridge. The cost of renting for a year can afford you a microwave and fridge. Why not buy instead?</p>

<p>You will receive it within the first couple of weeks of Fall semester and it is picked up during the last week of Spring semester. Nothign to do but pay a relatively steep price compared to buying (but having to haul it yourself).</p>

<p>my roommates and I rented their fridge/microwave combo for our triple last year. all three of us chipped in at ~60 each. it was VERY convenient, but for the price they’re asking definitely not worth it. it’d be better to invest in buying one instead. they are a decent size and do work properly though.</p>

<p>when we say buy one, we mean buy your own and bring it to share with your roommate(s). or if your roommate already has one, than to bring his/hers to share. I’m sure you/your roommate(s) would be willing to share a fridge.</p>

<p>Often the roommates divide up the investments. One buys and brings a minifridge. One buys and brings the microwave. One might bring television, video games, etc. Those keep their own items at the end of the year. </p>
<p>No reason to evenly divide it, the bigger issue is to avoid duplication since the room is too small to hold multiple of each appliance.</p>
