Mid level boarding schools

Not surewhat exactly to call them.

You have the top schools with competitive entrance and very rigorous curriculum.

The Exeters, Andovers, SPS, Deerfield, Choate, …

Which are the next level schools? Good academics, good financial aid possibity, and better acceptance rates.

Also with good college matriculation.

Parent here looking at options as the admission clock ticks.

Appreciate your input and lots of great info so far.

There are piles of great schools across the country that might fit your criteria. I would venture that you would be looking at school with an average SSAT in the 70% range and in the Northeast Loomis Chaffee, Tabor, St. George’s School, Taft, Peddie, NMH, Kent, Westminster, etc. would all match. You can get this information on Board School Review or here (as long as this link works…): http://www.boardingschoolreview.com/top-twenty-schools-listing/highest-average-ssat .
