Mid-Level transfer to Ivy League, Worth the Challenge?

TJones,
I have moved one of your Chances threads from the Chances forum to here for people to evaluate.

Sounds to me like you’re doing this for all of the wrong reasons. The Ivies are an athletic conference, you know…

What would you consider the right reasons if mine are wrong lol? I know that the term “Ivies” originally only applied to the athletic conference, and that it spread from there to academia. It’s just a convenient term that I was using to summarize that tier of school that I wanted to apply to, I know that there are many colleges out there that are the same level as them and might possibly fit me perfectly. I’m assuming you didn’t mean that I should be applying to the “Ivies” for athletic reasons, because if you did that wouldn’t make sense either… I already said that I am going to try out for the crew team at whichever school I do choose, or if I get good enough I might use it as a hook to get into that school. Please clarify what you consider the right reasons to try and transfer from a tier 4 school to a top tier school though, I’d appreciate it!

Then you should’ve just said top schools…

Stop knitpicking

Considering you had nothing constructive to say diontechristmas, I’m assuming you were just trying to get the number of posts under your name up. Sorry for the confusion because of the title of my post though, I probably should have been clearer because certain things are understood differently depending on the person.

Anyways, I’m still checking this thread and though I’ve already gotten some phenomenal advice, I’d still appreciate any other points of view or any other advice that has yet to be given! If not just for me, then for anybody else that might have a similar situation.

Yes, I was attempting to post over 200 times in this thread. You have me figured out. Darn.
