Mid to small schools for PT or exercise science

My D is interested in majoring in physical therapy or pre-pt/exercise science, kinesiology. Any recommendations on mid to small schools in the Northeast? She really doesn't want to go to a large university but it seems that these are the schools where this major is most commonly offered. Thanks for any suggestions

University of Scranton is a mid-sized Jesuit school with PT.

Your D sounds like mine. Over the last 18 months we’ve learned that a strict pre-PT undergrad degree is not necessary for PT grad school. For this reason, many small/mid-size schools offer a pre-heath advising program. The counselors there will guide a student through course selection to ensure that all the pre-reqs are met. Meanwhile, the student majors in anything he/she wants.

Having said that, here are my D’s schools (in ROUGH order of increasing selectivity) and the major she would be pursuing there:

Salisbury U (Athtletic Training & Exercise Science)
Hobart & William Smith Colleges (Undecided major with Health Advising)
Juniata College (Pre-PT)
Elon U (Exercise Science)
Muhlenberg College (Undecided major - or Natural Sciences, if they still have it - with Pre-PT advising)
Skidmore College (Health & Exercise Science)
Dickinson College (Undecided major with Health Advising)
Gettysburg College (Health Sciences - Gberg offers a BA for allied health UG, and a BS for students bound for med school)
Franklin & Marshall College (Undecided with Health Advising)
Bucknell U (Undecided with Health Advising)
College of William and Mary (Kinesiology & Health Sciences)
