I am ranked in the top 10 students of my class in a total of around 700 students. I have one small fear; this year as a senior, I took an extremely hard courseload:

AP Bio
Multivariable Calculus
AP Physics C
AP Government
AP Art History
AP/GT English IV

I have a fear that I will end up with B's in both AP Government and AP Bio. I get the feeling this is gonna seriously hurt my app..when I submit my mid-year grade report. AP Bio with a low B or mid B and AP Gov with a high B. Since sophmore year, these will be my first B's...but I don't think my rank will be seriously effected. Overall, my GPA is still going up, although I might drop to rank 9 or 10.

You guys think this will be a big deal to them? I mean all this time I'm making low/mid/high As, and then all of a sudden two Bs but I hope they can realize how difficult my schedule is. I'm almost going nuts..

First term grades absolutely, second term less so though acceptances are occasionally rescinded. One B probably won't make any difference, two might though I tend to doubt it given the course schedule. My son did get accepted with B's in English every year except senior year (when he wasn't in honors or AP English.)

Senior grades are nearly as important as, if not more important than, junior year grades.
They are the most recent measure of a candidate's abilities and potential.

Yea I was wondering about this too. My grades aren't that great, with a B in AP English and A- in AP Stats and Orchestra. Rest are A's in AP classes. How much will this hurt me? My UW GPA was 3.95 before this year.
