I got the letter from Pitt today requesting my mid senior year grades and I wanted to ask whether there's hope for me.

I sent in a GPA of 3.49 (which is probably what killed me) and a 1700 cumulative SAT.

It's not too far into senior year but I do have a 4.0 and I'm planning on keeping it that way.

As for the SAT's, I'm not too sure whether I should take them again because I recieved my highest score my second time and went down on everything my third time.

Pretty much, has anyone recieved this letter and been accepted? Is it worth it to take the SAT's even if I go down again?

If you already took your SATs 3 times you should ~not~ take them again. Have you considered taking the ACT to see if you would do better on that? Pitt superscores across BOTH exams, so you could get a better score by combining parts of the SAT with the ACT.

Within your SAT what is the Math/CR breakdown? Are you applying into A&S or Engineering? Do you have a major marked down or are you undecided? I think the combination of a super low SAT with a not-high GPA to offset it makes the admissions committee nervous. If you can either show good grades with difficult classes senior year, or some other sort of “upward trend” you may be ok.

I applied as a Finance major in the school of Business Administration.
I called Pitt with some questions and they said if accepted and spots in the business school are filled they could put me in A&S.
