Mid Year Grades?

I recently received a letter from Pitt asking for my mid year grades..is there still a good chance at being selected if i have straight A's including one in an AP class?

i have 3.8 (W).. and 1170/1600..im on the National Honors Society with a lot of activities, volunteer work, and work experience..my gpa for the first marking period was a 4.1 and im looking to have the same for second marking period

chances?

I think you definitely have a chance. Congrats on the great grades!

I think that you are definitely going to get in! Congratulations on such great grades!! I’m in the same situation! Pitt asked for my mid-year grades and I have a 3.71 weighted GPA and an 1110/1630 on the SATS. My GPA for the first two quarters was a 3.9. I applied to the College of Business Administration. Do you think I have a chance? Does alumni even matter that much?

They wouldn’t ask for more information if you didn’t have a chance. And since you can’t get better grades than all A’s, it sounds like you’re probably in.

^That sounds great, since I’m in the same situation as OP. Good luck op!

Pitt also requested mid year grades from me. I was wondering what you guys think my chances are with a senior year 3.0, and a four year of 3.6. I also have a 1250/1940 on the SATs and submitted two great teacher revs that I didn’t have the first time.

1250 out of 1940?

The poster meant 1250 out of M+CR alone and 1940 out of all three sections.

2007 post…OP knows what happened.

Oops. Duh.
