I was wondering if it would be okay to attend my fall semester at BU and then join Brandeis for their Spring MYP program since i have acceptances from both. I plan on attending BU but was wondering if that option would remain open? It’s just because I am so confused between attending a non-liberal arts college v/s a liberal arts one.
Yes. A friend of mine was accepted as a Brandeis midyear, and attended NYU in the Fall then joined Brandeis starting in the Spring (for the remaining 7 semesters). He only paid tuition, room, and board to one school each semester. It is equivalent to transferring to Brandeis after being somewhere else for your first semester (in your case, BU).
By the way, neither Brandeis University nor Boston University are “non-liberal arts colleges”/“liberal arts colleges.” Same for NYU. The three are National Universities, offering graduate studies and research opportunities in a variety of disciplines. If you follow the USNews Rankings, all are in the National Universities category, with NYU and Brandeis pretty comparable and BU only slightly lower ranked.
