I applied to Virginia Tech (non engineering) with scores that I feel will get me in: 29 ACT and about 3.48 GPA (UW).
I just got my grades for the semester. They were all good except for AP Biology. Here’s the dilemma. I got a B+ first quarter, a C+ second quarter, an 85 on the exam, and a B- (82) for the semester. Will this one year downward trend greatly affect my chances, or will the exam grade be sufficient to show them that I understand the material. My teacher offered to write a letter to Virginia Tech stating that I am working hard and handing in all my assignments on time. Is this necessary?

i'm in similiar situation, i've already given up my hope for virginia tech, as matter fact, i was caught cheating for a stupid class taht's not related to my future career. i think i'm getting either a D or F for hte semseter, i dont' think yours matter that much at all though, a C in ap class is alright
