Current scheduale for senior year: English, AP CompSci, AP Physics C, AP Calc BC, Oracle 2(honors), Italian V(honors), Gym/Health, and AP Statistics

Since I feel most likely I will be deferred and Umich will look at my mid year report, how would they calculate it? Would they include Oracle(being that it is honors) in the calculation. Also, I kinda messed up 1st MP and have 2, maybe 3 Bs(from the APs). Around what GPA would they look for in the mid year report? Does it include midterms or no? I am going to bring it up a notch even more than I have been doing in order to get straight As next MP.

If Michigan wants to see your Senior grades, they will calculate your first semester grades (or first 2 quarters). I am not sure if Oracle will count. I don't think it will, but it may. As for the kinds of grades Michigan will be looking for. A GPA over 3.5 unweighed, so more As than Bs. But at the end of the day, nothing is certain. Those are just guesses.

so you think with my course load, keeping a 3.6-3.7 could put me over the top to get in if I am deferred? I am OOS I have a 3.6 Umich GPA right now with 1310 SATs, but will take the SATs again this saturday.

Oh and will AP comp sci count as well? I don't know if it's considered "core"

3.6 GPA and 1310 are both below the Michigan mean for OOS applicants (3.8 and 1350). I would say staying at 3.6 will probably not put you over the top, especially this year. Try to raise your grades as best you can and do your best on your SAT.

Alexandre, will Michigan want to see my mid-year grades? I was accepted in October. Should I send them in, or will they ask to see them if they want to?

so, how low can you go in terms of grades without being revoked? like, can you get a few C's?

not that I plan to go that low, but if things go bad I might get a C in calculus.

Boredofeducation, Michigan will always ask for your senior grades, just for their records. However, if you are admitted, those grades will not alter your acceptance unless they dip significantly.

Iciclerose, one C will not hurt you if the rest of your grades remain in teh B or better range. However, if you get a bunch of Cs, you could be asked to explain yourself.
