So, if I'm applying to a few schools who are taking applications until April/May/June and I got my midterm grades in late February, should I have my profs. sign for what is technically my "mid term" grade or the grade I have upon requesting they fill out my form? I would think the schools would want the most up-to-date grade but if my transcript lists my mid term grades (does it?) I don't want to have two conflicting pieces of information. Can anyone help?

mean.......

your transcript doesn't list the mid-term grades, thats why you need to get it from your professor. my interpretation of the mid-term grade is not your mid-term test grade but your overall grade. also, I'm not going to ask for my mid-term grades from my teachers for another two weeks(after my 2nd mid-terms) because I want the school im applying to, Northeastern(deadline may 1st), to see the most up to date scores because my 1st semester wasn't as strong as I wanted. hopefully that helps.

nice, thanks!

quick question: is there such a mid-year report? did you get it from commonapp.org?

no. common app doesn't have mid-term form. Usually the colleges have their own form. Or, you can just send your official (or even student copy, IF only the colleges allow you to) of your mid-term grades.

And, yes, you better wait until the last minute to send your mid-term.

lydia: thanks for the advice. but hwo do you mean by the last minute? you mean the deadline? what if i don't have my mid-term grade by teh deadline ( or by the time i absolutely have to send out stuff)? by the way, say if the deadline for a school is april 1st then does it mean that I have to send out my application postmarked by april 1st or teh colleges must receive everything by april 1st (i'm sending from Hawaii so it takes some time for the package to get to the mainland)?

please someone answer my question?
