Mid Year Report

I have applied to Stanford in the regular decision cycle. Stanford’s website says the last date for the mid year report is 15 Feb, however, my last exam is on the 19th of feb. Will it be okay if my mid year report is submitted on the 19th?

Yes. You can’t submit what is not available, and Stanford, like all colleges, knows that.

Will I be at a disadvantage if I don’t submit my mid year report to the college that don’t require it?

No. If a college does not require it, then it does not require it.

This is what yale says

Yale only requires applicants to submit the Mid-Year Report if they receive new grades in the middle of the school year (by February 1). If you do not receive new grades by February 1, or if you have completed secondary school by February 1, you do not need to submit the Mid-Year Report. Many international students do not need to send this form.

also will my mid year report be reviewed if i send it now?

You are now confusing the issue by talking about Yale in the Stanford forum, but yes, if a mid-year report is sent now (and you do not send it, you counselor does), they will consider it.

Even if they have waived it? My application says waived for mid year report. And the date for the mid year was 1st feb and my counsellor sent it on the 24th.

@rama2022 No need to worry about it. If the AOs think mid-year report is important enough to make a difference in your case, they’ll look at it even if it missed the deadline.

Actually my mid Year mark were a bit lower than my 11th marks, so I’m hoping they don’t see it. They already waived it on the 22nd. And then my counsellor uploaded the mid year on the 25th.

Mid-year report is not that important. It only becomes important if an applicant is somewhat marginal and shows inconsistent performance. Many colleges don’t ask for it. Even the ones that require it may not look at it.

Hey sorry, last question. So My counsellor submitted my mid year report to Stanford past the deadline. My application portal does not show that the mid year report is received. Moreover, my application portal does not have a column for mid year report only. I asked my friend and his portal shows mid year report received. Does that mean that they didn’t look at my mid year report?
