I know this topic has been covered in jhu cc before..

i got accepted.
but I just found out that I got D+ in AP Bio in my first semester.....I had fairly poor grades overall because I had some family issues at the beginning of the semester...

I am so so worried that they are going to withdraw my acceptance...

Is there anything I can keep there from withdrawing the acceptance?

Should I explain what happened and say I will do much better in the second semester?

would it help?

As an Early Decision applicant you are not required to submit a mid-year report. A final year report will be required and that will be what is reviewed to confirm your admission. If you continue to have concerns about your senior year performance than you may add a letter of explanation (not an excuse letter) to the submission of your final transcript and final year report.
