Did you apply to BU using common app? If you did then it’s already sent if your first semester ended. My counselor already sent my mid year report using common app. BU does look at your senior grades regardless of if you apply to cgs or not. I mean if you taking rigorous courses and your grades are “crap” then theyll understand. Its not like your getting Ds and Fs right?

And to answer why UCs dont look at senior grades is because of the large quantity of apps they have to review. My couselor told me that this year the number of applicants to UCLA was over 50000. The admissions dont have time looking at extra stuff like Recommendations and Senior Grades. Im pretty sure its the same reasoning for University of Texas.

Well all I can say is do good on finals so you can improve your grades a little or significantly.
Damn you gotta pay to send your transcripts? Im glad that I dont have to pay **** and my counselor is doing everything for me in terms of paperwork lol.

I received a letter from BU saying that they received around 38000 this year. This is a large amount of apps for a private school but when comparing with public schools, its less. Also you should consider whats happening right now. Obviously more people are going to focus on public institutions cuz of the economic issues. Therefore, theres going to be a massive amount of apps in public institutions than private institutions.
