beachpanda, and anyone else who was accepted ED.
You DO have to file the Mid-Year report.

I called the adcom today and the person specifically said that good grades are "contingent to the final acceptance" and that the Mid-Year is definitely mandatory.

Therefore, I have no idea which guy you spoke with beachpanda, but this information goes out to anyone who was accepted ED who thought they didn't have to send a mid-year.

SEND IN YOUR MID-YEAR, Or Call Up CU AT 212-854-3711, and hit *2 to speak with a representative to double check.

transcript ? midyear . . . . . do these people know the terminology? Did you say midyear report, or midyear grades, or just plain midyear? Do you know for sure what these people are referring to?

delfire..one of us is wrong but i don't know who....

i just realized....you called the financial aid number, whereas i called the undergraduate admissions number

i'd think that undergraduate admissions would know more about this than financial aid

whatever, i decided i'm just going to send it anyways..its takes only a few minutes and costs only a few cents. better safe than sorry! especially when you're talking about your future college (hopefully if you don't get F's on your midyear and final transcript!)...
