Mid-Year Reports

<p>I'm sure there has been a thread like this, but a google search didn't come up with any helpful cc threads on mid-year reports.</p>

<p>So, my main question is: How do I go about submitting the mid-year reports?</p>

<p>I have applied to 11 colleges that use the Common App and want mid-year reports. </p>

<p>Does the counselor have to snail mail it to each of the colleges (she submitted my school report online)? If not, how I do ask my counselor to submit it online and how will colleges automatically download it?</p>

<p>Your counselor has to do it. He/She can submit it either online or through the mail, and when the school gets it, they will attach it with the rest of your application</p>

<p>but will the commonapp automatically send my counselor a reminder email to fill out my mid year report?</p>

<p>I’m not sure if it sends a reminder, but realistically, counselors send a mid year report for every student using the common app each year, so I doubt they would forget</p>

<p>I believe it’s our responsibility to remind our counselors,that’s what I’m hearing so far.</p>

<p>If you look at the blank form, it asks the applicant to fill out the first part. How does this work if it is done online or via Naviance?</p>

<p>My son’s school uses Naviance too (works with Common app.). Your counselor has an account already set up with all your information already there —all you need to do is get in a request to your counselor to send the Mid-Year Report/transcript. Some counseling offices have a form you fill out and turn in to them (bigger schools), and some just need you to ask your counselor to send it via Naviance. We have the forms.</p>

<p>Remember though, if you have other schools that aren’t using Common App., have your counselor send Mid-year Reports via snailmail (probably anothe form for that to turn in too, that’s what my son’s school had --one special request form for the Navianc/Common app mid-years and one form for the paper requests).</p>

<p>Are we able to track the Midyear report too on the commonapp just like we did the Secondary School report?For the SSR,we were able to see all our individual colleges when our counselor submitted,and then again when the colleges downloaded them.Will be able to see similar stagewise updates for the Midyear report too?Can someone who’s midyear report has already been sent confirm this please.

<p>this is sort of related…do all common app schools want a midyear report? even if you’ve already been accepted?</p>

<p>Under the counselor’s section my daughters mid year report says “started 1/21/11”. I guess when the counselor finishes uploading transcript it will change to submitted.</p>

<p>just out of curiosity, what is included in the mid-year report? Does it include midterms? My midterms are set to occur this week, which means it’ll take another week of processing to find grades for them, but some colleges have emailed me asking for my midyear report/first mp grades already.</p>
