<p>does anyone know how much difference mid year senior grades will make…my gpa has shot up this semester and i really hope they will take notice…do they look at those for everyone or just the borderline candidates?</p>
<p>...seeing as I am not part of AU's admissions personal... i'd have to say that I don't know. If you want an offical answer... call AU and ask em.</p>
<p>If you want my personal opinion... i'd say its depends.
If you had a 1.0 gpa all throughout HS.. and all of a sudden... in the first semster of your snr year, you get a 4.0... idk its almost like too little too late. </p>
<p>But due to the fact that AU (like most other schools) request EVERYONES first semster grades and not just those who feel that they are boarderline... then yes, i'd say that it makes a difference.
At the same time you have to realize that every bit helps. There could be something on your first semster snr grades that an admissions person is interested in, and that could be your ticket into AU... who knows...</p>
