Mid-year reports.

What role do mid-year reports play? Do they have any significant bearing on admissions decisions?

here's my guess: they don't help you significantly, but they can screw you over. If you're a freshman, they're probably more important than if you're a sophomore. If you're getting straight A's in your classes, it probably helps, but they probably take most with a grain of salt.

oh yikes please don't say that.

wouldn't first semester count more though??? i hope...?

yeah first semester I think would definitely count more. Then again, I'm not an adcon

i hope so... thanks... do our final second semester grades play a role?

probably like getting into college in hs. If they're ****, they could reject you after they accepted you. Keep the grades up! If you apply to grad school, they probably will want to see all of your grades.

my grades aren't terrible right now, just not great. i had a really good first semester though, and i definitely feel like my classes are harder this semester... wouldn't your grades have to be really terrible for them to reject you like that? though i guess you also have to get in first...

i definitely think this whole transfer process has been more stressful than what we did the first time around...
