sorry, but i really have no clue how to send in my transcript for my senior grades...do i just turn them in regularly....or is there a certain supplement i have to turn it in with??

You will need to log into your application with your password. It's been a year since I did mine-so it's fuzzy, but there you should see some sort of prompt about posting your first semester grades. It's basically just a box and you type your classes and grades in there, and submit. They give you space so that if you need to explain anything, that's a good time to do it.
I chose to use the extra space to update my application with my senior year activities, for example, being voted MVP on my tennis team........
You report your grades at this time, i.e.-no official transcript. UVA is strongly into the Honor System.
If you do get accepted, your GC will need to send in your final transcripts before you can register for fall classes at the summer orientation events.

When does the prompt become visable? The status page does not show it right now or the way I log in is wrong.

Also, SAT's being received by UVa is not verifiable only what is self reported is clearly indicated. The only things you can see on the Status page is whether the official transcript has been received and if you mouse around enough you can see that rec's have been rec'd. Other than that, it is all a blur.

I think it should be up already. I submitted mine last year somewhere around this time. Dean J talked briefly about submitting your mid year grades on the link I posted below, but there's not a lot of detail there. Vistany, for some reason I remember something in the upper left hand corner of the on line page that pops up. I'm sorry that I don't remember specifics. I applied to like 9 schools last year and they each have their own quirks. However, I'm certain about self reporting for UVA on the online application log-in. Check out the below links. If you don't get your answer, then maybe start a new thread asking Dean J to comment. It's time to get your ducks in a row. Good luck.

Anyone know anything about the need for mid-semester grades re: transfers? After searching, my efforts have yet to yield anything definitive. So far from what I've gathered they are not required? Also, if accepted, does UVa want to see a final transcript, and if so, can they rescind their offer due to sub-par grades? (I'm starting to freak out about the prospect of getting a C in spanish.)

-BTW, are there any other prospective transfers on here for fall '08? I only ask b/c after searching it seems like there were a bunch last year, and can't help but get the feeling I'm the only one this time around.

Well Jimmy, no luck. There is a blue box on the right hand side of the screen so your recollection is correct but none of them are relevent to mid terms.

Chessie: Mid year grades aren't required for transfers, but I sent mine in anyways. I just made a sheet, had my professor write my grade, date it, and sign it. And while the can rescind your admission, if you have one C and the rest As and Bs, I doubt they'll come after you.

Thanks shoe.

thanks Dean J!

How important are MidYear Grades? I have basically straight B+s. But I am taking 5 AP classes with two AP sciences. Also I go to a special science academy. It's very though with a rigorous education there. Am I basically screwed now?

Sciencenerd, you are in a good position in the universe. I read your other post too. Stop worrying or you might make yourself sick. You're a great candidate, hang in there, deep breaths, you are gonna be ok. Not screwed.
