Hey guys…I am currently ranked third in a class of roughly 440…The top kids in my class are all seperated by very small amounts in GPA and I think I am going to get passed by the 2nd marking period because the girl behind me has 5 AP classes whereas my schedule could only fit 3. Therefore, she gets a very large GPA boost. I am anticipating my rank to drop to 4. Would this hurt my chances at the top schools such as Harvard, Stanford, U of Chicago, and NYU Stern? Is there anyway I could explain this, I am sure my guidance counselor could help me out. Thanks alot guys I really appreciate it!

<p>No, it won't hurt you. Don't worry about it and don't have your guidance counselor "explain" it. 3, 4, not a lot of difference--really! Work on enjoying the rest of your short high school career.</p>
<p>lol...you actualy think that makes a big difference? Just stay in the top 3% and don't get any B's or C's and they won't quesiton it.</p>
