Has anyone heard back who had to send in mid-year grades

My daughter is still waiting. Of the five people we know who received the mid-year grades letter, only one has heard so far. (He got in). She is starting to freak out a little bit because last year they sent acceptances very quickly after receiving students’ mid-year grades. My daughter’s grades were very good first semester, but, this seems to be a very competitive year.

I’m starting to worry too they told me they had received my grades and i should be hearing soon but waiting is still no fun.

wait09 …My daughter said one of her friends received a rejection today via email. She did not receive any email or snail mail from Pitt today. The waiting continues. Hopefully, no news is good news.

i was accepted today. I received an email talking about having dinner with admission officers and other accepted students so i emailed one of the admission officers to make sure and she told me of my acceptance.

Congratulations, wait09!! Are you going to attend? May I ask you your stats? I hope it is not bad news that my daughter has not received an email one way or the other.

My daughter has a 3.45 unweighted ( her high school does not weight for the 10 honors courses she took). She also took 3 AP courses and scored a 2000/2400 SAT. She is so stressed out! Pitt is her first choice and she will be very disappointed if she does not get in.

I’m pretty sure I will be attending although I’m waiting to hear from one more school. My visit helped push PITT over the top.

SAT (not that great)
1100/1600
GPA: 3.42 Cum 4.0 Current
I don’t Know my true weighted GPA because my school only weights APs

4 APs (3 this year) the rest honors
Dual Enrollment
Biology and Sociology
Very good Recs and Essay
Plus I sent a letter showing I was still interested although they requested Mid-year

When did she send her mid-year grades? I sent mine in the second week in Feb because our 1 semester ended pretty late. I wish the best for your daughter. I feel that she has a pretty great shot seeing her SAT scores
