Mid-Years Question

This is going to sound stupid, but it's one of those college application technicalities that kindof baffle me. Basically, I am tired of seeing "preliminary review completed" since 12/5, and so I'm sending in my Mid-Years (without being asked) because they're good (probably my best) and because I want to wake the sleeping giant, so to speak.

For Mid-Years submission, we're told to self-report online, but to also send something in. "You must send under separate cover, a copy of your official report card received from your high school." So, I have my report card, the one I got in the mail from my school. It has all of my classes and grades, but it doesn't have my GPA or rank, which both went considerably up since the transcript USC has on file. So should I send this report card in, like USC directed, or should I send a transcript (including grades, GPA, rank, etc.) from my high school's office? Thanks for any help!

I would send it from your high school’s office. You would want USC to see your improved GPA and rank.

USC recalculates GPA, so that part doesn’t matter, but your improved rank could help. They will eventually want the official transcript from the high school, so that is your best choice, but if you think it will be delayed, you can send in a copy of your report card and follow up with the official transcript. Three nudges should def* wake that giant.

(*per bomchikawawa- inside joke.)
