How are they different? Pros and cons are helpful! :)

Middle Earth has bigger, nicer rooms. I heard, Mesa has poor tasting food (although I didn’t find it particularly bad when I stayed there for Orientation)…and my friends who lived in Mesa made the walk to M.E. almost daily to eat. Mesa seems quieter (definitely a Pro). Middle Earth was so incredibly noisy at night and it makes it hard to sleep. It was definitely close to all my classes though (I am a bio major) but Mesa is closer to the classes for the Art/Humanities majors.

just a warning, the chefs get rotated every year. Last year, Mesa had the better food.

Also which meal plan is best?

the cheapest one. After a month of commons, you’ll feel disgusted with it.

^Cannot agree more.

What kind of food do they give?

Wow, no not even, Mesa Court phase IV dorms have the largest rooms out of all the dormitories. Middle Earth, though, contrary to stereotypes, is more social due to the closeness of the physical layout. Idk about the food now, but Middle had better food my year.

Mesa: nicer rooms (though only in larger, newer dorms)
Middle: more social, closer to the ARC, closer to campus (right on friggin’ Ring Road, which is something some upperclassmen envy) <— this is beautiful for having access to the library
