<p>I really love Johns Hopkins and how close it is to DC, and I know they're known for having a great IR program, which is my tentative major. However I want to concentrate in the Middle East, and looking through the course listings, I couldn't find many courses discussing the modern Middle East. If anyone knows about this, how available are classes on the Middle East?

<p>There is usually 1-2 every semester. Remember, JHU isn’t a big school so you won’t have a zillion courses every semester liek you would at a huge state school.</p>

<p>if you want to study the middle east just visit. trust me, you’ll learn way more than they can teach you in a course by actually being there.

I actually did visit and I asked admissions about it and they just told me to go on the website, but then I couldn’t figure out much from that so I don’t really know where to go from here :(</p>
<p>Truth be told Professor Hazbun left and he was one of the 2 Mid East politics specialists. Although they haven’t released the names of the new crop of faculty this year so we might get another one.</p>
