Hello all,

Thanks!!

Is it UT Austin? If so, they have one of the best programs in the nation. They started an Arabic Flagship Program in 2007 (federal funding) that offers a slew of Arabic dialect courses and if you commit to the program (I think it's 5yrs with a study abroad) they waive your out-of-state tuition and you only have to pay in-state. I'm applying there as a HS senior looking for an Arabic major and it is one of the best finds for your money.
If you look at the backgrounds on most undergrad professors, they got their degrees in M.Eastern or Arabic Studies from Austin, U Chicago, Princeton, Georgetown, U Michigan...

Oh she hasn't picked a specific school, she wants to find a list of schools to which she can apply that are in Texas and have an excellent Middle Eastern Studies Program. Sorry that was unclear.

So from your post, I understand that UT Austin is a great program?

yeah, definitely.
