I'm having a really difficult time with this major. I'm over 100% sure this is what I want to do, but there are limited schools offering it. Has anyone here had an experience with this as a major/minor, and could offer advice on a particular program? Thanks!

UVA, Boston U and Georgetown offer such majors. Usually there not referred to as Middle Eastern Studies, but rather as ‘Arab Studies’ or M.E. + S.A. studies.

UT Austin has a good Arabic program and also has a Middle Eastern Studies program.

Middlebury offers a pretty decent program in that area (as well as in a LOT of other areas)

Consider these programs in Arabic or Hindi/Urdu (if interested in Pakistan and S. Asia):

[The Language Flagship - Hindi / Urdu](http://www.thelanguageflagship.org/hindi-urdu)

They are among the very best language training programs available and you could still major in another discipline, too.
