On the AU site there was nothing MES related for majors…but all the degree search sites I’ve seen say that it is an undergrad major. O.o

Do they mean a concentration rather than a major? And if it is a concentration, under what major is it? (is there a link, too?) lol

Thank you!

American University offers a minor in Arab Studies in our College of Arts and Sciences. Find out about the program below:

Additional opportunities for studies in Middle Eastern issues can be found in the School of International Service!

[Middle East Studies | American University, Washington, DC](Islamic and Middle East Studies Home | American University, Washington, DC) - a very helpful page that aggregates a lot of information about the various MES programs at AU.

In addition to the Arab Studies minor, you can focus on the Middle East or Islam with an International Studies degree in the School of International Service. You can also now focus on Arabic with the Business, Language, and Culture degree in the Kogod School of Business.

It is something in development by the school right now to have a concentration in Middle Eastern Studies.

Source? Associate dean of the School of International Service.
