Middle of the night panic attacks

It's nice to know that so many of you have the same dream -- I remember my surprise when my H told me he had it also. I hadn't realized how common it was. I'm someone who got by in school through sheer memory skills -- so of course, in my version, I discover on the day of the final that I have completely forgotten to go to class for the entire quarter. I only wish I realized it was a dream DURING my dream -- I almost always wake up in a state of anxiety!

Well, now I dream that I'm standing in front of a class I didn't realize I'd need to teach and am not prepared for--guess that's the teacher's version! :)

Garland, besides the exam nightmare, I have a teaching dream where I'm not prepared, don't have an attendance roster, no textbook.... and I'm naked. Now that's a nightmare! (Since I sub, I'm used to the not prepared, no attendance roster, no textbook part.)

Wishing and hoping, don't even think about watching "24" in the middle of the night! The premise of the show is to do anything to get your adrenaline rushing. And there is so much teenager-in-danger stuff that you'll never get back to sleep. What you need is a nice Masterpiece Theatre episode, preferably one where the characters discuss their ancestors' lineage and.... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Gee, I'd never thought of Masterpiece Theater as a soporific. I'd always blamed Brideshead Revisited for S1's plunge into nightowldom. He loved the music and struggled to stay awake to listen to it. By the time the series ended, he was firmly set on a different schedule than when it had started.
