Middle school grades?

Okay, I took 8 HS credited classes before I even entered HS. They were:
Spanish 1
Spanish 2
Latin 1
P.E 9
Hon. English 9
Algebra 1 pt. A
Algebra 1 pt. B
Hon. Geometry

Now, to the point, since these classes are HS ones and affect my GPA, will colleges factor them in during admissions? Or will they not really care about classes, even if they were HS ones, that I took in middle school?

Check with your high school counselor. In our school district, high school coursework taken prior to high school may be noted on transcripts, but grades are not. What's on your school's transcripts? Even if it's on a transcript, a college may not care, though this may vary between colleges. Our state U does not consider high school courses taken before high school at all; students who start the high school math sequence before 9th grade are cautioned that they will need to take other math classes (e.g. AP calc or Stat, or even beyond) in order to meet the four-year requirement, even though their transcript shows that they've taken Algebra etc etc.

honestly, i would go stanford all the way. if you take a look at where google / ms / facebook do all of their first hires from its either stanford or mit, and the starting salaries are around 100k. congrats on both though, i'd love to be confused in your situation haha

The highschool courses that I took in middle school, as all as the grades that I got in them, were on my transcripts; however, they were considered part of freshman year and not factored into GPA (for highschool or for colleges). You'd need to check with your school's policies.

Yeah, with our school, the only high school class we can take in middle school is Algebra 1, and it IS factored into our overall GPA

rofl at redwings hockey

^ I don't get it. Emotion does not travel via internet very well, so I am confused... :(

Anyways, my greades are on my HS transcript. I hope the college, Dartmouth, will not look at them, because they are not as great as my grades freshman and sophmore years.

most of them will count, but the colleges will put little or no value on them

lmaoooooo redwingshockey

this is off topic, but...is burrville short for berryville? if so...small world! :-D

Why yes, it is. Why, do you live there???!!!

i live in winchester; i used to live in boyce and went to K-8 school there; i took dance lessons in berryville! so, i'm basically from the area.

^ Wow, I never thought I would meet anyone on this site from an area I actually know. I am a Junior at Clarke County High School. lol, it is a small world. :)

Wow, that is a crapload of courses you took. Well as far as I know they should appear on your transcript because they count as high school grades (I have seen this evidence from 8th graders in my french class).

they will probably count on your transcript and be factored into your GPA, but colleges will not put much weight on courses taken in middle school. heck, even some colleges dont count freshman year loll
