Middlebury Admissions Office closed for 3 months

I posted this last week and it was recommended that I post on the Middlebury forum:

Any Middlebury students available to provide some perspective on our visit on November 6 by walking around with us for a half hour? It seems that by the first date we could visit this fall there are no tours and no help from Admissions due to a major renovation. Strange since NJ schools are closed that Thursday/Friday and many of us make the New England visits then. However, we don't find it as useful to just visit without a structured tour. If any Middlebury student could spare a half hour for my daughter on the afternoon of November 5 it would be appreciated!

Seriously? No one at the admissions office has offered to help you out? That’s not the Middlebury I remember.

This forum is a mix of Midd graduates, parents and current students (probably in that order of posting frequency), so i don’t know if you will get a volunteer. Another thing which I might have mentioned when you posted on the “search” forum— since admissions puts the e-mail addresses of the senior admissions fellows on the website I’m assuming that it’s legitimate to get in touch with them and I wonder if one of them would accomodate you. If it works, let us know!

frankur,

I’m a freshman right now, and as such I may be a little unqualified to give your daughter a full perspective of the Middlebury experience, but nevertheless I would be more than happy to meet with you and show you around for a little while. If you’re interested, post back on this thread and I’ll give you my contact information via PM.

Thank you so much for your kind offer. Unfortunately my younger daughter has some nasty bug that has been going around school and instead of heading north we are heading to the doctor tomorrow and have had to cancel our weekend visit.
I do very much appreciate your kind offer and thank you again.

My pleasure. I hope your daughter feels better soon.
