I have a feeling I’m going to be deferred…I hope this feeling is wrong! It would be the best Christmas present ever to be accepted, and have this waiting over with.</p>

<p>i was recruited as an athlete to middlebury, and “committed” in july. i applied ED as a recruit with the support of the coach, and i am just curious if anyone knows what percent of the ED acceptances are typically athletes.</p>

<p>Laxer19 - it was my understanding (at least last year) that the majority of the recruiting class was done via ED (I,II).</p>

<p>AAAAAAAAAAhhhh. I’m nervous, and it isn’t even me…My S is biting his nails!</p>

<p>Two questions:

  1. On the Admissions Decision website, my application status is still “under review.” Are others’ statuses the same?
  2. Can we access a decision at midnight this Friday (well, technically Saturday) or at 8 am on Saturday? If you click “Application Decision” from the aforementioned website, it says “Early Decision 1: Mailed Friday, December 12, 2008- Available on-line on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 8:00am.” These dates are clearly wrong (Friday is the 11th, Saturday is the 12th), but it does say 8 am, which is not said here [Application</a> Status & Admissions Decisions](<a href=“Apply to Middlebury College | Middlebury College”>Apply to Middlebury College | Middlebury College).</p>

<p>I can totally remember last year… what I seem to recall is that the news was clearly online fairly early on saturday morning - and much sooner than son woke up - so it could have been at 8am est which is actually earlier here. I just remember having access to the website but I wouldn’t dare look at whether he got in or not before he did! That would be horrid. But too, his was regular decision not early. But as I recall, it said still under review until it said click here for admission decision or whatever it says where you click there to see. That’s how I knew decisions were up before son was!</p>

<p>Hey “interest”! As for your first question, my application status is “under review” as well. But I am in the same boat with you for the second. I was wondering when we can actually find out so that I can try and concentrate my anxiety a little bit better. Good luck to everyone! We’ll chat more as the week progresses, I’m sure!</p>

<li><p>the information you received online was last year’s. This year is 2009, not 2008…I think we will get to see the decision at 8 am on Saturday. </p></li>
