Middlebury Feb vs Reg

I am applying EDII to Middlebury and I was wondering if I had a better chance of getting in if I put that I prefer February admissions. There are 5 options: September only, February only, prefer September but either is fine, prefer February but either is fine or either February or September. I don't care at all if I get in February or September I just want my best shot at getting in. So would putting that I prefer Feb admission but either is fine or just putting either be a better option? I just figured most people aren't putting they want feb so maybe it would help me if I did?

Either Feb or September

That is, the “either Feb or September” option, which is the most flexible.

It likely won’t affect your chances. Being the most flexible will prevent your choice from hurting your chances, however.

The Feb thing is a favorite topic of mine. My DS was a Feb but reluctantly may graduate a semester ahead of time with the regs. He has had extensive conversations with admissions personnel about what makes a “FEB”. I agree that leaving it open provides the best chances, but the reality is they are looking for a certain “type” to be a Feb. Febs typically do better academically, hold more leadership positions and take more control of their educational experience. This is not my opinion but has been stated many times by various admissions/profs that we have spoken to. GL in your ED2 application. If only I could justify another 30K to let him ski down the slopes with his Feb class… :(
