College Rankings 2011: Most Rigorous - The Daily Beast

I’m very suspicious of a ranking which puts Fur-Man above Midd. This seems very silly.

My S has a friend there for merit, and she finds it rather easy. Of course, since the average SAT is 600-ish, maybe it’s those students who are being dragged thru the high expectations of the faculty giving it a rigorous rating. More power to them, I say.

Daily Beast has no explanation of how they made this rating. They list seven numbers - and the number one school, St. Johns, has an n/a for two of them. So, I have no idea what they mean by this.

Unless Swat is in the top 3, the list makes no sense.

This ranking stuff is more than a little silly.
