Middlebury RD 2013

I GOT IN !!! OMG OMG. EPIC VICTORY. Was so afraid after being wl by Wesleyan but now I am so Happy!

Hmmm. Waitlisted. That one hurts.

Accepted! with awesome financial aid :)

Accepted. Wow, I’m in shock, I didn’t think I had a chance.
But I can’t consider it if I don’t get more aid… I have to send in 2008 taxes still… aggh, i hate money.

REJECTED… expected

accepted :)

Accepted!!! Omg this is amazing!

Son accepted. Thrilled beyond thrilled.

Congrats to all who got such great news. And yes, i think waitlists will play a huge role this year. Already we can see that there are quite a few waiting on Ivy decisions next week before making a decision. The problem however will be that waitlists who need a lot of financial aid might be in a tough position because the lists aren’t need-blind like admissions, which is unfortunate in this day and age.

I honestly am floored S got in. Not that he didn’t have the pieces of the puzzle, but all along we’ve said how there are thousands of others just as qualified too. So… thanks for all the good thoughts sent his way over the last few months. It has literally kept me, and thus the rest of this house, sane. He now has not only choice, but GREAT choices and as a parent that’s all I ever wanted for him.

wait list. surprised because expected rejection? oh well!

Accepted from California.

GPA 4.5, ACT 35, SAT 2340

Congrats Modadunn and son! Great news! Smiles all around!

And congrats on Colgate too (I’m too lazy to post in that forum!!) H went there and totally LOVED it.

Don’t forget to join the Middlebury Class of 2013 Facebook group :D

Redirecting...;

Rejected
GPA: 3.9
ACT: 31
ECs: Leader of MUN, Amnesty International, on school newspaper, published writer.

It’s cool. I was accepting it.

I joined already! :D

Thank you CollegeMom… he is really happy. We all are… and still a little shocked. I credit so much of our good luck to the good karma here. Husband put in a call for a huge order of ribs (a FAVORITE of son) and we’re having a “ribfest” for dinner. So NOT what my butt needs as we approach spring, but… oh well!! There is no flashback easier or more enjoyable to watch than our S completely happy with barbeque sauce smeared all over his face!!

OK, I guess people are posting their stats on here…?

Here are mine: Waitlisted :frowning: :frowning:

GPA 98.1 UW
SAT 2130
EC’s Managing Editor of school newspaper, concertmaster of youth orchestra, a cappella club, chorus, choir, Amnesty Int., NHS tutoring

I’ll be honest, I’m really, really, really disappointed. I thought that if I loved Midd hard enough, I’d get accepted, but apparently that’s not the case. Not sure if I’ll take the waitlist, as I’m sure the list this year is a mile long and chock full of better applicants than I. We’ll see. So…congratulations to all of you that got accepted, I’m really happy for you and I’m sure you’re all incredible people for Midd to accept you!

P.S. Modadunn, eat some extra ribs for me, will you?

accepted!
wow
:)

congrats everyone!

Now I just need to wheedle some aid . . . I really hope I can make this work. My two best friends got in as well – it would be absolutely amazing if we could go together.

waitlisted…

international application from new zealand

ACCEPTED and so happy. i just wish i was able to get a better feel for the school to make my decision. i have been reading the Midd forum and checking out U.nigo and other guides, but it’s hard when you havent visited.

congrats to all accepted! and to those who weren’t - it is Midd’s loss. there are so many other schools that can offer amazing experiences.
