I currently have no idea what my first choice is any longer after Bowdoin. If I picked today, it would be between Middlebury and William & Mary. They are vastly different in setting and size, but they both feel great when I am on campus. I hope I have the opportunity to make the choice.
Good Luck to everyone.
@karlmarx2020 we have a lot of schools in common.
@clueless96 Good luck to you on your applications.
Same to you @karlmarx2020
@juniperann I also got into Smith and am waiting on Bates, Bowdoin, Colby, and obviously Middlebury. Looked at Wellesley but didn’t really like the feel. I also applied to Brandeis, Tufts, Colgate, Connecticut College, Cornell, Simmons, and UMASS (last two safeties) I also got waitlisted at Colorado College yesterday but seems like almost everyone got rejected so I’m happy about my decision.
I’m super excited to hear back from Midd. I don’t have one first choice school but like I applied to Cornell, Dartmouth, Midd, Amherst, and Swarthnore and they are all my top choices I think. It will really depend on financial aid. Then my safeties are occidental and NYU and I also got into a bunch of like, 50%ers like Willamete, TCU, and USFC just in case I get rejected from everywhere somehow lol. I already got deferred from Cornell ED to RD so I think my chances are pretty good. The admissions dean I talked to said hey just had a lot of legacy applicants and I shouldn’t be worried at all! Good luck everyone else too! I’d love to go to Middlebury!
@zekosadieurokrem Thanks! I’m domestic (from Maine). And yes, this week is dragging by! @NEF2016 That’s awesome! One of my friends is going to Brandeis next year. Best of luck to you!
Wait how did you all find out that you got into smith? I thought they weren’t coming out till like the 25th.
@ohwhatalife I received an early write a few weeks ago.
Hi guys! I’m a bit late, haha, but really excited to find out about Middlebury this Saturday Pretty nervous, but I guess that’s normal.
I applied to (and got in to) Calvin, Macalester, Hope, and St. Olaf, and I’m finding out about Kenyon and Midd this week, and Swarthmore, Bucknell, Hamilton, and other biggies next week. I got rejected from my ED I School, Wesleyan, but I didn’t let that bring me down! Anyone else do DiscoMidd?
Congrats bgal101. My D was rejected at ED1 Davidson. Got into St. Olaf, waitlisted at Macalester and Wash U. We are waiting on Middlebury, Wesleyan, Wellesley, William & Mary, Colby and Kenyon. Good luck to everyone on the board - this is really a stressful time and I feel for all of you while trying to get through this along with school and life in general!
Hello folks,
Does anyone know whether they’ll be sending any letters by mail for internationals or not?
Got the Wallace scholarship for Macalester. Somehow I got crazy good aid despite their reputation, maybe they’re stepping up their game! 2190 SAT, top 5%, good ecs, good lor. Also, where in the documents does it mention fly-in waivers or is that just for international students?
@mstack thank you so much. I wish your daughter the best!
@enlight10ment I got amazing aid too! I was so surprised as well. For the fly in for mac, under the financial aid letter they have an ‘extended sampler invitation’, but it seemed not everyone got that. I think it’s just for domestic students actually. If you’re talking about Midd, I’m not sure XD.
Oh wow, did not realize that this was the Middlebury thread and not Macalester! Whoops. Thanks anyways @bgal101
@AmroBayoumy , my son was accepted last year in RD Class 2019. He is an international and he received the acceptation letter and all the material one week later of the decission was posted in the web page. Good luck to everyone.
So it’s tomorow!!! Finally
@NEF2016 I got waitlisted at CC too! Kinda bummed me out since it’s such a cool school, but mostly because I sort of lost hope for Middlebury at that point. I’m hoping it was just because of my lame supplements (I didn’t really put much effort into them tbh), and I still have a chance!! But yeah, seemed like it was an accomplishment just to get waitlisted, lol.
