Anybody going to the preview days?

Sent in my deposit as well! And @TinnyT I am going for the last two days.

Got accepted! It was great news because the day before I was waitlisted by Kenyon (didn’t show much interest) and Bowdoin. I’m currently choosing between Amherst, Midd, and Trinity.

Congrats! @Sportsnerd

Congratulations sportsnerd! Let us know when you’ve made your choice.

I got into Middlebury, but my parents wont let me go :/

Why won’t they let you go? Cost? What are your other options?

Distance from California, lack of diversity and cost (we receive no financial aid).

Berkeley with Regents, full ride at USC, couple of other options (but unmitigated tuition)

Accepted and will attend :)

I have to say I’m still surprised I was accepted even weeks later, my stats are weak in some spots (1990 SAT 750 R, 700 W, only 530 M), and even though my GPA is a 3.8 UW and I take IB classes I had a C first semester junior year (in math of course!). My EC’s are average, but my essay was pretty good, as were my recs (from my Lit and Arabic teachers). Being an URM probably helped as well.

I’m not going to lie, Middlebury’s lack of diversity is probably my only major issue. But it’s still my dream school and has pretty much everything else I was looking for!

The only way to increase diversity is for more people like @TheColorClear to choose Midd. I just read that 33.7% of accepted students are students of color. Congrats on your acceptance and I hope you have an amazing four years in the hills of Vermont!
