Middlebury Study-Abroad in Paris

So I'm really interested in Middlebury's study-abroad program in Paris. Unfortunately, this program is not approved by my college. My school does approve Sweet Briar's program in Paris, though. So, to petition for the Middlebury program, I'll have to give reasons as to why it's better than other programs out there.

From what I know, Middlebury offers more or less the same as other programs (like Sweet Briar), but it interests me mainly because the college is so well known for its language program.

Based on your experience, or what you may have heard, what makes Middlebury's program in Paris (or France in general) stand out? Is there anything special that other study-abroad programs in Paris probably don't offer? I would love to attend and really need to convince my French department so they can approve my request!

Thanks, in advance, y'all! :)

They probably want Wellesley students to attend their own program in Aix-en-Provence. Since the Middlebury school in Paris is so well known and rigorous, I can't imagine a reason why they wouldn't allow you to petition to attend. Why don't you meet with the study abroad dean to find out if they'll give you credit for the Middlebury program. If they say no, please let us know the reason.

That's true - they encourage students to attend their own program in Aix. And while I'm allowed to petition to attend the Middlebury program, I'll have to provide some very good reasons to convince them to let me go. I was hoping I'd get some help with that here. Ideally, they'll say 'yes' if I give solid reasons. :)
