Middlebury: the most eco-friendly school in the US

Here's a link to an article explaining the Sierra Club's selection of Middlebury as the most eco-friendly school in the country.

I feel like I will become extremely more environmentally conscious when I attend Middlebury.

I’m glad so many schools are making this part of their culture. Kudos to Middlebury.

And the investment in oil companies “issue” ?

rhg3rd, I’m not sure I get your point. Yes, Middlebury has not yet divested in the petroleum industry. That doesn’t change the facts. That’s simply one aspect of their eco-friendly characteristics. If anything, that suggests that they can only become even MORE eco-friendly. I think there are only two, maybe three US schools that have divested so far. The College did have an open forum to discuss the option of divestment - a movement which, by the way, began at Middlebury.
