Middlebury Vs. Vassar

Does anyone have any thoughts on this comparison? Any other students making a similar desicion? I am having a very difficult time deciding between the two, because i am very into music and i have heard that Vassar is better for music, but at the same time i hope to study neuroscience, and i have heard that Midd is strong in the sciences. All thoughts are appreciated

Your decision should be on which you really think you want to focus on in school. For example . . . if you are thinking of a double major (Music/NeuroSci) or a Major in Music and maybe a corelate squence in NeuroSci (I only knew majors so you'd have to look into this). Then, frankly, Vassar. If you are really heading into NeuroSci and are thinking of music more as a background interest . . . harder call. Vassar has serious academic music program, it also has a more laidback extracurricular music scene but I'm sure Mid has the latter.

I had friends that majored in Neuro Science and enjoyed it but these were the kinds of kids who were involved all over the place.

vassar is more liberal, 60% female, not as isolated

middlebury has better sports team, 52% female, preppier

Vassar is a great school for music. Not only that, Vassar's undergraduate education is very well rounded, whatever your major may be. Middlebury would be a great choice if your intended major is either foreign languages or international relations.
