To make a long story short, I've narrowed down my choices to these two schools.
-I received similar financial aid packages
-Both have strong econ and poli sci departments
-I'm not a big party-goer, so for that reason I prefer Welles.
-I don't really like competitive environments, so for that reson I prefer Midd.
-For me, Midd is only an hour farther away than Welles, so distance isn't a big issue,
I'm absolutely torn between these two schools and I have no idea how to differentiate between them! Which would you choose, and why?

Assume you’ve visited both?

@arcadia I did!

Well, Middlebury is in the middle of nowhere–I was astonished at how small the town was–while Wellesley is in the suburbs of Boston, quick access to NY, etc. However, I think most kids at college end up staying on campus most of their time, so that might not matter to you. Wellesley struck me as a very politically-aware school, whereas Middlebury is more environmentally active: does either subject get your engine started? Middlebury types are sportier, more outdoorsy, while that seems less true at Wellesley.

And obviously, Wellesley is a women’s college, which can have an enormous influence on a woman’s confidence and attitude after graduation. And the networking is amazing.

Good luck on your choice!
