“Have we all decided that Williams and Amherst are the enemy, so we’ve agreed to peace with each other? … I miss some of the well-intentioned ribbing.”

Then you may enjoy the fact that the main female character in Sasha Baron Cohen’s (aka Borat) new movie “The Dictator” is a holistic, tree-hugging, free-range, politically-ultracorrect greenie who self-righteously declares “I was a fem lit major at Amherst.” Lol.

Well, as the mom of a Williams’ graduate, I appreciate it.

But I probably am that person, Amherst or not, so I’d be making fun of myself, which I do do rather frequently.

To add to the NESCAC connection with “The Dictator,” Jason Mantzoukas, who plays Nadal in the movie, is a Middlebury grad.

^^
He was also the recipient of a Thomas J. Watson fellowship. Impressive accomplishment.

Sorry for keeping everyone hanging! It’s the end of the school year for me, so I’ve been a bit busy with all kinds of business lately.

Anyway, I’ve finally heard from both schools, and as much as I’ve been trying to avoid it, I’ve come to a decision.

It was maybe the hardest decision I’ve had to make in my entire life, but in the end, I ended up choosing Midd–considering all the pros and cons, the financial aid, etc., the scale tipped ever so slightly in its favor. It feels right, though, and I think I’ll be happy there.

Thanks, everyone, for your contributions!

Congratulations!!!
