Middlesex Acceptances!

Got accepted into Middlesex School 10th Grade class of 2014!
I'm currently waiting for my letters from Deerfield and Loomis.
However, I was waitlisted for Hotchkiss :((

Anyways,
I'm still very much excited for Middlesex!~
Can anyone tell me the life at Middlesex? If so, can you elaborate any advantages of the school?

By the way, please post if you were ALSO ACCEPTED! :D

Congrats Gator! I was also accepted to middlesex for the class of 2014! I too, am waiting on a couple of letters from schools as well.

Gantor*

sorry about that can’t edit posts on iPod

So cool!~
@Prepschoolseeker
When you visited Middlesex, what was your first impression?
Do you like the school?

And is Middlesex your first choice school? :O

My first impression was that it was an amazing school with a tight community. I really liked the school when I saw at at my interview and tour. In fact, I liked it so much that it is my second choice school- I am still waiting on my first choice school’s decision letter.

Same questions for you. First impressions and is it your first choice?

Middlesex was my second choice school actually.
I really enjoyed the campus tour and I was completely amazed by the facility.
When I first went there, I was impressed by all the plaque carving traditions. In fact, I do enjoy schools with lots of traditions in them. It makes the students seem much closer to the school.
Anyways, I’m a bit nervous at the same time.
Since most friendships are made in the freshman year, I wonder how I will make friends in the sophomore year when everyone already know eachother.
Thanks

Yeah the wood carvings were fascinating. And yeah it’ll be tricky making friends at first but I think that if your open and friendly to most people you shouldn’t have a problem.

and btw may I ask what your first choice school is?

My first choice school was Deerfield Academy :O

No way hahaha! that’s mine as well!

LOL Awesome!
Let’s cross our fingers and hope we get accepted!
I didn’t get the mail yet since I live way out on the West Coast

Bump !!~~~~~~

ah yeah it would be great if both of us make it in. I live on the east coast so hopefully my letter will come tomorrow

Oh wow,
It must be late there. Alright, let’s hope we make it :D

Hey guys! I’m also Middlesex tenth grade class of 2014! I’m still waiting on the decision from the other school I applied to, but in all truths, I don’t really care about it - Middlesex is my dream school. The whole vibe of the school seemed so suitable, like I belonged there from the very beginning. And now it has come true. :)

I honestly don’t think there’s ANY reason to worry about making friends. Although I have no experience with prep school, I have transferred schools before, and I was initially scared at the possibility of being friendless, but all my fears proved unfounded by the 2nd/3rd day of school. As Middlesex is a tight community, and there will also be other new sophomores like me, I doubt assimilation will be any problem whatsoever.

Good luck with Deerfield, guys, but if that doesn’t work out, then I’ll see you this coming September! :)

Thanks lost1nth3music!

I agree, Middlesex is has such a vibrant community! It’s amazing :D

If I don’t get into Deerfield, let’s hope that we meet at Middlesex! :D

*Middlesex HAS a vibrant community. Not “is has such” :frowning:
Sorry for the typo

Bump!!!
Bump bump

i heard of a lot of great, smart people who were waitlisted at mx and accepted at HADES or other GLADCLHEMMS… i guess they were just really strict this year
