Middlesex Dorms for Girls

How do dorms work for Middlesex 9th graders?
Do you have any choice as a 9th grader?
Which are the "best"?
Have the most singles? Doubles? Biggest rooms?
Can you request a single?
Who is the nicest resident family and which dorm do they live in?
Do they place all the jocks in one dorm? math whizzes in another dorm? ect...

Any info appreciated.

yo! I need some answers here!

bumping this, once again. Thank you CCers for your craploads of advice!

Oh! I have advice, well, kind of.

Middlesex is something like 80% singles!

yes, i know.

Woah, that's a lot of lonely people in singles!

I can't wait to check out some Andover dorms! The one I went in smelt terrible, but it was pretty spacious and nice. The Exeter dorm I went in was old and crappy, but it again was very large.

Hey Izzy Busy Bee!! I was accepted into Middlesex for next year and am extremely excited about it. I'm doing revisits for two schools but really love MX.
I can't give you anymore information about dorm life than you already know, but am very interested to learn more, too.

piano, what grade will you be in? I'll be a freshman.

Izzy, I'll be a freshman also!! Are you doing revisits?

Does anyone know if there's a facebook group for current Middlesex students?

hey.
new students can't request a specific dorm but rather get to request a single or a double.
hope that helps

great! thanks.

sure. you will fill out the roommate form either way. a lot of freshman have roommates but some do not. most of the social stuff is done by hall anyway. And it's vertical housing, so you will be with girls from all four grades in your dorm (not necessarily on your floor) but you will have a senior proctor on your floor looking after you. You wont know your housing situation until your first day. Let me know if you have any other questions.
