Midterm elections

Very very happy about last night. I mean it was expected, and I was dissapointed with the Senate, but overall a good night. I mean I didn’t actually expect to get the 51 in the senate anyways.

Ohio went blood red and I am so happy.

Btw, nothing wrong with Obamacare? Am I being punked? Where’s ashton?

Meanwhile the rest of educated America collectively facepalms at how ■■■■■■■■ Wisconsin is.

It was a really cool acronym!

@CPA: Oh, I entirely agree. I didn’t like Patriot and still don’t. But I can see why it was popular at the time.

I tend in most things to fall into the “America should just take the hit rather than compromise its freedom” camp.

And that includes health care.

Alright, what are your issues with healthcare?

Suprising fact: the rest of America is looking pretty red at the moment as well.

@MIT: What’s wrong with Obamacare is it forces people to purchase a product whether they want it or not, and it forces companies to sell a product whether it is profitable for them or not.

The companies are protected because the people have to purchase insurance.

And yet these same companies have people trading freaking islands, getting richer off of an economy in shambles(My dad has all the info this). We let them get away scot free. Yet we don’t want to hold them accountable, make them provide for the people. What happened to providing for your common man?

He/she said “the rest of educated America”…

Oh, snap!

Sorry, couldn’t resist.

Since when is it one man’s responsibility to give up things he achieved, he acquired, he EARNED because others, who were presented with the same opportunity, chose not to act on it or did not do so as effectively. America is and always will (well should be) a capitalistic country. Competition is what thrives evolution, growth, and change. I am tired of the government sticking its nose in private enterprise. It is one thing to regulate it, but it is another to take it over and diminish citizens rights. I can’t believe people are ok with spending OUR generation into a lifetime of prodigious taxes. I am tired of people thinking they are owed something just because they have less than another person. And it’s not like people here are living in shambles with no food. Keep in mind the poor in our country are considered wealthy by the rest of the world, for the most part. Obamacare is an abomination (see what I did there) of what America stands for.

FYI I’m conservative leaning. I’m not upset at all with the GOP’s success this midterm election, but even I think that the voters of Wisconsin are ■■■■■■■■.

Companies belong to people, who have the same rights as everyone else. If they promised to give something to somebody, then they should be forced to make good on that promise. Otherwise no one should be allowed to rob them. It is just as unethical to force insurance companies to “provide for the people” as it would be to force a plumber to give free repairs, or a theme park to give free admission.

Oh, no problem, I only barely managed to resist using that in my post :P.

…Ok, great then. Why are they? I don’t know anything about those races.

Now that the Republicans have control of the House, wheres the jobs? Why isn’t the economy fixed yet? Why do we still have a deficit? Why are we still in recession? Are Republicans secretly Muslim and trying to ruin our country?

We thought the democrats could fix that in 4 years. Yeah, this country’s uneducated.

^^ Everything is fixed, the Republicans just haven’t done a good enough job communicating that to you.

What’s wrong with the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act is that it forces hospitals to treat patients in an emergency room whether they want to or not.

^^ Like I would believe that hogwash. What happened in the past 8 years prior to 2008?
