I am applying to transfer for next fall '09 and am currently in the process of obtaining my midterm grades from professors. My grades so far aren't that bad (mostly B+'s and one A) but they were a lot better last semester (my gpa was 3.85). I know my grades will only improve from here, because I'm now familiar with exactly what is expected of me on exams in all my classes. We haven't had that many grades yet, because the semester just began Jan 26. Will the colleges that I am applying to think that I have been slacking off, or will they take into consideration the fact that it is only the beginning of the semester?
