Midterm report?

Does Syracuse require a midterm report?

yes. im quite sure they do.

Thank you for your email. We will not be able to begin to review your application without senior marking grades. If you delay until the 9th of February we will not be able to review your application until then. Please send your first period marking grades before the application deadline so we can process your application after the deadline. Thank
you and please be in touch with further questions.

Good Morning,
My high school uses a quarterly marking period system. The first marking period ends on 11/10/06 and report cards are issued on 11/28/06. The second marking period ends on 1/26/07 and report cards are issued on 2/9/07.
In order to make sure that any deadlines are met for the submission of the Mid-Year School Report, could you please advise whether the report should be issued by my high school after the first or second marking period and the date by which it must be received. To the extent relevant to the submission date, I am applying to a BFA program in the Drama department.
Thank you for your assistance.
Sincerely,

^Thanks. I'm curious about this as well. Are we talking midyear grades, or just first quarter grades? My friend insists first quarter...and I'm thinking it's after first /semester/, i.e. second quarter.

Anyway, let me know what kinda answer you get on this.

First Quarter grades per email response I copied in my original post. Granted, this was based on the specific dates of each quarter but Syracuse's response made it clear they wanted the "1st period" grades before February.

my school goes by semester and i wont have it out until february... will this delay my decision letter or anything like that?

Based on what Syracuse told me (see post from 1/7), it could delay consideration of your application. Rather than speculate, send the admissions office an email, explain your situation and see what they have to say or suggest. I have found the admissions office to be very responsove.
