Midwest College Battle - UIUC - IU - Wisc

I plan on majoring in finance in college and then move on for a MBA in the future. I live in Illinois.

Costs: UIUC - 34,000 a year
Indiana - 46,000 (with at least a 6k scholarship)
Wisconsin - 41,000

The cost does not matter if it's +/- 5,000, so all these schools fit financially.

Which college offers the best undergraduate business (finance) education, followed with a MBA?

I understand UIUC has the honors business program and Indiana has the direct admit program, I don't know what Wisconsin has. That being said, which college would be the best through those specific business program and help the most in the future.

Junior - male, 3.8 GPA - 32 ACT (retaking and trying for a 34).
Clubs/Activites - DECA, BPA, Student Council (president senior year), Mentoring Program, Volleyball, Hospital
Volunteer, Special Olympics Coach

P.S I love the college life at all three, so this is strictly in terms of education to gain a MBA.

any of these business schools will serve you well in your career and in your application to grad school. After a few years, no one will care where you went undergrad. The grad schools will not care at all where you went undergrad. It’s about what you DO rather than where you do it. At the end of four years, you’ll be glad you didn’t spend that extra $28K on Wisconsin or 48K on Indiana. It’s just undergrad. Prestige is not that important to anyone but you.

And they’re about the same in prestige anyway (with Kelley being a little higher). A key thing is getting a direct admit to the b-school, though, if you want to be a business major. At UIUC, all would be direct admits. At Kelley, only some. At UW-Madison, I’m not sure there are any.

UW has been expanding its direct admit numbers to B school. I heard it used to be quite low and they are making a concerted effort to increase.

Kelley does have a pipeline to Wall Street, however, if you get in to their IB Workshop.
