<p>I'm from the suburbs of Chicago and was planning to go to the East Coast for college (no specific schools in mind just yet, only a general region). Have any Midwesterners out there gone East? The general perception of Midwesterners seems to be that we're super nice, which freaks me out a little, because that means that everyone else is less nice. Are East Coasters actually rude and snobbish?</p>

<p>im live on the east coast and i can safely say that we aren't all that rude and snobby, but we definitely aren't bright and sunshiney all the time, either. if youre thinking about going to school in new york city, you'll find a lot of people who think that new york is the best city on earth, but are still willing to help others explore and fall in love with the city too. </p>
<p>overall, i wouldnt worry too much about how mean the people are here, cuz most of them really arent =]</p>
