Midyear grade question

"Please report your first-semester, first-quarter, or first-trimester grades in each of the courses you are attempting this year"

This may be a dumb question, but my school has quarters and we have finished 2 quarters so far. Should I just enter my first quarter grades or should I average the 1st and 2nd quarter grades together?

Lolz. That was a dumb question. But yeah averaging the first and second quarter averages will give you your first semester average, which is what you should enter in to the database.

It says “first-quarter” so I’d assume just put the first quarter in. But apparently someone knows better? lol. If you’re uncertain, give the admissions office a call, they’re super nice.

You put in first semester grades. So, average the first two quarters.

Thanks for the advice so far

So it actually isnt a problem for most my classes since i have A’s for both 1st and 2nd quarters so the semester average would still be an A

The only issue is in my French class. I got an A- 1st quarter and a B 2nd Quarter
so should i enter the A- from 1st quarter or B+ (the average of the first 2 quarters)

The only reason I worry is cause they said they check final transcripts and they dont put semester averages on the transcript so the B+ average wouldnt be on the transcript

My son’s school uses number grades. What scale should he use to convert his grades to letter scores? For example, is a 93 an “a” or “a-”

LDZmom: It says to ask your school guidance. Some schools consider anything over a 90 an A, others feel 90-92 is a-. If you check with your school you’ll have something to back you up if ever questioned (which I highly doubt will ever happen)

Thanks- we figured if he gets accepted, they won’t dispute between and a and a minus. Does anyone know when regular decision will be posted?
